Oregon Coast Trip

I found this one today in Bellingham Hearld’s image gallery.

I feel so sad for all the families who’s homes are being wrecked and for all the businesses that will be affected. Tomorrow I am going to look into finding some way to help at a shelter or with donations or just anything. Situations like this remind us that we are not in control of much of anything. I am quite sure many people are wondering, “Okay, God–where’s the rainbow?”

Caleb and I just got a new Lego set. Our set is based on the original Town Plan Lego from 1958. We ordered the set from Amazon.com with Christmas gift certificates from Great Grandpa Larry and Great Grandma Dianne. It took us about seven hours to build. It is one of the largest Lego sets we own. Caleb and I each built different buildings and my favorite is the cinema.
Lego has been my favorite toy since I was three. Our first sets were Star Wars and then we got Spiderman, Batman, Harry Potter and most recently we have been collecting the Indian Jones sets. I’m glad that Lego makes themed sets but I also like to come up with my own designs. For Christmas this year my Aunt Holly and Uncle Shane gave Caleb and I Lego sets they designed at the Lego Store in Bellevue. If it’s been awhile since you played with Lego, you don’t know what you are missing!

Recently I have started to enjoy reading. Now that I can read well a lot more books are available to me. I prefer adventure books with interesting characters and exciting action. Currently my favorite author is Brandon Mull. He wrote the Fablehaven series and the book I am reading now called The Candy Shop War. Since the school year started I have read almost 2000 pages. Here’s a list of the books I have read this fall/winter:
Fablehaven The more thorough update is still yet to come– but I just had to announce — Cam accepted a position at Logos Research Systems and will start January 15th! We are incredibly thankful and confident that God orchestrated this very unexpected blessing! You can read Cam’s blog post on this
