Woohoo! Today was the first time we ran/jogged more than 3.2 miles. It’s a new milestone. One we’ll be breaking on Sunday.
I’ve really gotta figure out what to do about shin splints. They’re really getting painful and I’d rather not have to run with them the entire time.

Preliminary Training - Stage 10 - Day 10
Today was the last day of the preliminary training for us. Kelly was sick (breathing like “a fat kid with asthma”), so we only jogged for a limited time. Starting Tuesday, we switch to distance goals and get a LOT more agressive about increasing distance. In a few short weeks, we’ll be running 8 miles on Sundays.

Burglarized!!!
Between 10 pm last night (2005-06-10) and 9 am this morning (2005-06-11) my wifes car (o.k., minivan) was burglarized while it sat, unlocked in our garage (I forgot to close the garage door). Taken were the following items:
- iPod w/ Accessories (2nd gen, 10GB, “Cameron Watters” inscribed on the back)
- Fossil watch
- 2 mos. old Motorola cell phone (CDMA w/ Verizon service)
- Betsy’s purse (including all ID, credit carts and checkbook)
We’ve reported everything stolen and will put fraud alerts on our credit profiles on Monday.
Needless to say, today didn’t start out so hot!
