What Should Be Audio Blogged?
Well, since I’ve gone to the effort to list the advantages of text over audio for traditional blogging, I should probably spend some time exploring what audio blogs could be used for that would add something useful to the blogosphere.
Audio definitely has it’s advantages. Howard Dean’s (remember him?) scream Cemetery Gates dvd wouldn’t have been nearly as interesting if it had only been written out YEAAAARRRGGHHH…

Music is definitely better heard than read. I guess the audio version of posting baby pictures would be to post recordings of the rugrat’s first words or coos.
Quoting talk radio or even television (when the video is superfluous) would be decent uses.
I’m sure there are more, but it strikes me that nearly all of the things I can envision being useful in audio are simply items that would augment or enhance text content. They wouldn’t really be able to stand on their own. I’ll keep thinking about this…Sexy Beast ipod
