Dad in the local newspaper
An article appeared in today’s local fishwrapper about my dad & one of his recent vehicle acquisitions.
It’s good to see some people are still interested in helping kids believe in themselves and feel inspired in today’s age of blame and victim mentality, in which kids are increasingly encouraged to view themselves as the victims of circumstance and led to believe that they should wait around for someone else to fix things. I await the day 20 years from now when I can read the story in the paper about the local tycoon that beat the odds and pulled himself up by the bootstraps because somebody like my dad helped him to believe that he could do or be or have whatever he dreamt.
ASIDE: The reporter seems to have done a pretty good job this time. Usually, there are a lot of misquotes and out-of-context quotes and material inaccuracies. Seems like they got it right this time :-P.
